NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATES – NEWPORT SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES TO ADDRESS KEY ISSUES IN PUBLIC FORUMS
As a public service Alliance for a Livable Newport will again this year host local public forums where candidates for City Council and School Committee will answer tough questions concerning issues they will face if elected to public office. Audiences will watch as candidates respond to questions they have not seen prior to the forums.
These candidate forums, moderated by officers of the Rhode Island League of Women Voters, are designed to help voters make informed decisions about which candidates they will support in the November election. If you can’t attend, the forums will be videotaped and the tapes will be available for viewing on Public Access TV and on the ALN website, http://newportalliance.org//videos
